The iDS-7216HUHI-M2/XT is a 16-channel, 1U AcuSense DVR from Hikvision — it records footage from cameras and lets you search and review it later, with built-in analytics to cut down false alerts.
What it's for
It's built for sites with mixed camera types: it accepts five signal formats adaptively — HDTVI, AHD, CVI, CVBS and IP — so existing analogue cabling can carry on working while you add IP cameras over time. It also takes up to 32 IP camera inputs, each up to 8MP, giving room to expand a system gradually rather than replacing everything at once.
AcuSense and analytics
AcuSense is Hikvision's term for on-device deep-learning analytics that tell people and vehicles apart from other movement, cutting nuisance alerts from leaves, headlights or small animals. This model supports 4-channel facial recognition, plus advanced perimeter protection across up to 16 channels, and AcuSearch across 16 channels — a faster way to filter recorded footage by detected people or vehicles instead of scrubbing through hours of video.
