What are you covering?
This just sets how many cameras we start from. You can widen it afterwards.
4 camera CCTV systems
The right size for most homes: front, back, side and drive. A 4-channel PoE NVR runs each camera over one network cable, and a 1–2TB surveillance drive holds around a month of motion-triggered footage.
8 camera CCTV systems
Larger homes and small business premises: entrances, tills, stock areas and the yard. Check the recorder’s PoE budget against the cameras you pick — eight IR cameras at full draw need more than a minimal 8-port supply.
PoE CCTV kits
Power over Ethernet is the default for new installs: one Cat5e/Cat6 run per camera carries power and video, terminations are standard RJ45, and adding a camera later is a patch lead, not an electrician.
Hikvision kits
Recorder and cameras from one ecosystem: AcuSense human/vehicle filtering, smart search in playback, and one app. Pair a Hikvision NVR with matched turret or bullet cameras from the same series.
Pre-built kit or components?
Our pre-built kits are assembled from the same individually-stocked components — matched recorder, cameras and storage, checked for compatibility, at the sum of their parts. Building from components instead fits the actual site: pick your own lens, cable length and drive, and every part stays individually replaceable — which is how installers do it. The walks it part by part (or hands you the whole parts list in advanced mode), the sizes the drive, and check the spec for free.
