Hikvision 5MP Fixed Bullet Network Camera - H.265+, IP67, WDR, EXIR 2.0, Built-In Mic

The Hikvision DS-2CD1053G0-IUF is a 5MP outdoor bullet camera that records audio as well as video, thanks to a built-in microphone — useful evidence for a driveway, entrance or yard where you want to hear as well as see what happened.

What it actually does

The 5MP sensor (2560 × 1920) gives enough detail to identify faces or number plates within its field of view, not just spot movement. The fixed 2.8mm lens is wide-angle — good for covering a doorway, walkway or open yard in one shot, but it doesn't zoom, so place it where the whole area of interest is already in frame.

At night, EXIR 2.0 infrared lights the scene up to 30m, so you get a usable picture in full darkness rather than a blank screen. WDR, BLC, HLC and 3D DNR help even out harsh contrast (bright sky behind a dark doorway) and reduce grain in low light.

Power and wiring

It runs on PoE (802.3af) — one Ethernet cable carries both power and data, which simplifies cable runs — or on 12V DC if you don't have a PoE switch/NVR.

• Compression: H.265+/H.265/H.264+/H.264 — the newer H.265+ keeps file sizes down, meaning more recording on the same hard drive.
