Product Description
This 8MP turret camera keeps colour on screen after dark. Hikvision's ColorVu tech pairs an F1.0 aperture lens with a high-performance sensor, so instead of switching to black-and-white IR footage at night, you still get colour images — useful when you need to identify a vehicle or clothing colour, not just a shape.
What it actually does
- Smart Hybrid Light combines infrared and white light across three supplemental lighting modes — the camera can use white light for colour detail or IR for discreet monitoring, depending on the mode set.
- HikAI-ISP noise reduction and scene-adaptive WDR (wide dynamic range — balances bright and dark areas in the same shot) help keep footage usable in mixed lighting, such as a doorway lit by a streetlamp against a dark garden.
- Person and vehicle classification, based on deep learning, filters out irrelevant motion (leaves, animals) so alerts focus on what matters.
- Built-in two-way audio with an arrayed dual-microphone lets you listen and speak through the camera, and an active strobe light with audio alarm can warn off an intruder directly.
Build and fitting notes
It's rated IP67 for water and dust resistance, and carries an anti-corrosion design comparable to NEMA4X, so it's built for exposed outdoor mounting. An audio and alarm interface is included for wiring into a wider alarm setup. As with any Hikvision turret, check your recorder supports 8MP resolution and has enough storage for continuous colour recording before buying.
