This is Hikvision's 8MP turret camera for anyone who wants sharp detail and a way to warn people off after dark. It suits a front door, a yard, or a small shop entrance where you need both good footage and an active deterrent.
The picture you get
An 8-megapixel (3840 × 2160) sensor gives enough detail to review faces or number plates at typical garden or car park distances — much sharper than the older 2MP/4MP cameras many people still have fitted.
Night-time behaviour
"Smart Hybrid Light" is Hikvision's term for a camera that carries both infrared LEDs and a white light, switching between them automatically when it detects movement — up to 30 metres. In plain terms: normal IR (black-and-white) footage most of the time, colour footage and a bright light when something triggers it.
Talking to whoever's on camera
A built-in microphone and speaker give two-way audio, so you can listen in or speak through the camera — useful alongside the white light as a "you're being recorded, please leave" deterrent.
