Product Description
The Hikvision DS-2CE78U0T-LTS-Black is a 4K turret camera that lets you hear and talk through your CCTV system, not just watch it. Here's what that means in practice.
Image quality
It records at 3840 × 2160 (4K) through a 2.8mm fixed lens — fixed means the field of view is set at installation, not adjustable afterwards, so it suits a fairly wide, general-purpose view rather than a zoomed-in one. Good for a shop floor, driveway or warehouse aisle where you want overall coverage.
Night vision
It uses Smart Hybrid Light, combining infrared and white-light illumination, giving up to 40m IR range and up to 40m white-light range. Practically, this means you get usable footage at night whether you want a discreet IR-lit view or a brighter, colour image from the white light.
Audio, two ways
It has a built-in mic and speaker, sending audio over the coaxial cable rather than a separate audio lead. That means real two-way audio — you can listen in and speak back — through a compatible CCTV system; check your recorder supports two-way audio over coax before buying.
Weatherproofing
Rated IP67, meaning it's protected against dust and against water — Hikvision states this makes it suitable for both indoor and outdoor installation.
Worth checking before you buy: that your DVR/NVR supports coax audio and two-way talk, since not all recorders do.
