- Cat5e vs Cat6 vs Cat6A — Cat5e is the basic standard for network cable; Cat6 and Cat6A are higher-specification options in this range for buyers wanting more headroom. Check what your recorder and cameras are rated to support.
- Indoor or outdoor run — several lines here are described as outdoor/external with a PE (polyethylene) black jacket, meant for runs exposed to weather; internal cable is UTP only.
- Solid copper vs CCA — this range includes both 100% solid copper cable and CCA (copper-clad aluminium) cable; copper is generally preferred for longer or performance-critical runs.
- Shielded vs unshielded — most of the range is UTP (unshielded); a shielded FTP Cat6A option is included for burial or higher-interference situations.
- Reel length or patch lead — bulk reels (100m/305m) suit new cable runs; short pre-terminated RJ45 patch cables suit final connections at the camera or recorder.
