Product Description
A 1m Cat6 patch lead is the short, tidy option for linking a camera, NVR, switch or PoE injector when the run doesn't need to cross a room. It's a common length for patching within a cabinet or connecting a recorder sat right next to your router.
Key specs
- Type: Cat.6, U/UTP (unshielded twisted pair) construction, which keeps interference low without the bulk of a shielded cable
- Bandwidth: supports up to 250MHz, giving headroom for Gigabit network speeds
- Conductors: 24AWG copper, with gold-plated copper alloy pins on both RJ45 connectors
- Jacket: PVC, 5.8mm diameter, in white
- Housing: polycarbonate connector shells
- Operating range: -10°C to 60°C, so it's suited to normal indoor installs rather than outdoor exposure
Where it fits in a CCTV setup
Use this lead for the last short hop — camera to injector, injector to switch, switch to NVR — rather than as your main run to a camera position. For longer distances between a camera and your recorder, you'll want a longer Cat6 cable or a pre-terminated outdoor-rated run instead.
Before you buy
Check both ends of your equipment use standard RJ45 sockets. This is a straight patch cable (RJ45 male to RJ45 male), not a crossover or PoE injector itself, so it simply carries the signal (and power, if your gear supports PoE) between two devices.

Frequently Asked Questions
Will this cable carry PoE power to a camera?
The cable itself is a standard Cat6 U/UTP lead with copper conductors; whether power passes through depends on your PoE switch or injector, not the cable.
Is this cable OK to run outside?
The operating temperature range given is -10°C to 60°C and the jacket is PVC, which suggests an indoor or sheltered use rather than direct outdoor exposure.
What speed can I expect over this cable?
It's rated Cat.6 with 250MHz bandwidth, which comfortably supports Gigabit Ethernet speeds over short runs like this 1m length.
Does it come in other colours or lengths?
This listing is specifically the 1m white version; check the SKU details on the product page for any other options.
