The DS-2CD2H83G0-IZS is Hikvision's 8MP turret camera with a motorised zoom lens — you adjust the field of view from the software, not with a screwdriver on a ladder.
What it actually does
The 3840 × 2160 sensor gives you enough detail to identify faces or number plates when the scene is framed correctly, not just "something moved" footage. The 2.8–12mm motorised varifocal lens covers a wide 105° angle down to a tighter 34.5° telephoto, so one camera can watch a wide yard or zoom in on a gate without being re-mounted.
Where it fits
IP66 (rated against water jets and dust) and IK10 (impact-resistant metal housing) mean this is built for an exposed exterior wall, not a hallway.
