Product Description
HiLook NVR-108MH-D/8P — 8-channel PoE recorder for small sites
If you're running up to eight IP cameras across a shop, office or home, this box records, powers and manages the lot without extra kit. "PoE" (Power over Ethernet) means each camera gets power and data down one network cable — no separate power adapters, no PoE switch to buy.
What it actually does
- 8 built-in PoE ports (IEEE 802.3af/802.3at) — plug cameras straight in, no switch needed
- Records up to 6MP per camera using H.265+/H.265/H.264+/H.264 compression, which keeps file sizes down without visibly softening the image
- 60 Mbps in and out — enough headroom for 8 cameras recording and one or two people viewing remotely at the same time
- Playback: 4 channels at once in 1080p, or 2 channels at 4MP, if you need to review several cameras side by side
- HDMI and VGA together, up to 1920×1080, so you can run a monitor in the office and a second screen elsewhere
Before you buy — check these
- Storage: one SATA bay, up to 6TB. No hard drive is included by default (the -NO-HDD listing makes this explicit), so budget for one separately if you don't already have a compatible drive.
- Camera compatibility: this pairs with PoE-capable IP cameras — check any camera's max resolution against the 6MP ceiling before committing to a mix of models.
- Remote viewing: works through HiLookVision software, a web browser, or a mobile app, so you're not tied to being on-site to check footage.

Frequently Asked Questions
Does this NVR come with a hard drive?
No — it takes one SATA drive up to 6TB, but you need to fit your own; that's why it's also listed as the NO-HDD version.
Do I need a separate PoE switch for my cameras?
No. The NVR has 8 built-in PoE ports (802.3af/802.3at) that power and connect compatible IP cameras directly.
What's the highest camera resolution it supports?
Up to 6MP per channel, across up to 8 IP camera inputs.
Can I view footage away from the site?
Yes — remote access is available through HiLookVision software, a web browser, or a mobile app.
