The DS-KD8003-IME1(B)-Surface is the main door station in Hikvision's KD8 Series Pro modular intercom range — it's the unit visitors press to call you, not a standalone entry panel.
What it does in practice
A 2MP fisheye camera with IR illumination gives a wide-angle view of whoever's at the door, day or night, so you can see the full entrance area rather than a narrow face-on shot. One physical call button rings your indoor monitor or the linked mobile app.
