Product Description
What it does
The DS-KV9503-WBE1 is a door-mounted entry unit that identifies visitors by face, PIN, card, QR code or Bluetooth, then lets you answer and unlock from a phone via the Hik-Connect app — no indoor station required.
Cameras and display
Two 2 MP cameras with infrared support give the facial recognition system enough detail to work in daylight and low light. A 4.3-inch colour LCD (800 × 480) shows the interface for entering a PIN, scanning a QR code or checking call status.
Built for the front door
The housing is metal and vandal-resistant, rated IK08 (impact protection) and IP65 (dust and water resistant) — the level of build you'd expect on a unit left exposed at a gate or villa entrance rather than fitted under a porch.
Power and wiring
It runs on standard PoE (Power over Ethernet), so one cable carries both data and power to the door station — no separate power adapter needed at that end.
Access control, your way
Five authentication methods — face, PIN code, RFID card, QR code, Bluetooth — can be mixed so a household or small site sets rules per person or per door, rather than relying on one method for everyone.
One-touch calling
A physical call button dials straight through to the Hik-Connect app, useful where you don't want (or need) a separate indoor monitor.

Frequently Asked Questions
Does this door station need an indoor monitor to work?
No — it can call directly to the Hik-Connect app on a smartphone, so an indoor station isn't required.
How is it powered?
It uses standard PoE, so a single Ethernet cable supplies both power and data to the unit.
Is it suitable for an exposed outdoor location?
Yes — the metal housing is rated IK08 for impact resistance and IP65 for dust and water resistance.
What ways can visitors or residents authenticate at the door?
Face recognition, PIN code, RFID card, QR code, or Bluetooth — these can be mixed according to your access policy.
