What this camera actually does
The DS-2CD2347G2H-LISU/SL is a 4MP turret camera that records in full colour at night, not just black-and-white infrared. It uses a 1/1.8" sensor at 2688 × 1520 resolution, so footage stays sharp enough to make out faces or number plates rather than vague shapes.
Night vision and coverage
Hikvision's Smart Hybrid Light automatically blends infrared and white light, holding colour imaging out to 30 metres. The fixed 2.8mm lens gives a wide 111.1° horizontal view — enough to cover a front door, driveway or shop entrance from one mounting point without needing a second camera.
Deterrence, not just recording
It carries a flashing strobe and audible alarm triggered by its own detection, plus a built-in microphone and speaker for two-way talk — useful for warning someone off before they're at the door. Deep-learning analytics tell human and vehicle movement apart from swaying trees or passing traffic, cutting down false alerts.
Storage and installation
Recording can run standalone to a microSD card up to 512GB, or feed an NVR. Power comes from PoE (802.3af) or 12V DC, so one network cable can carry both power and video. The metal housing is IP67-rated, meaning it's built to handle rain and outdoor exposure.
