The F1.0 lens and 1/1.8" progressive scan CMOS sensor are what make the colour night image possible — a wider aperture lets in far more light than a standard lens, so ColorVu skips the usual black-and-white infrared look and gives you identifiable colour detail (clothing, vehicle colour) after dark.

The fixed 2.8mm lens gives a 111.9° horizontal field of view — wide enough for a single entrance, driveway or car park approach without needing two cameras to cover it.
Active deterrence
Rather than only recording, it can trigger a flashing strobe and audible alarm automatically when its deep-learning analytics classify a human or vehicle in frame — a real check against false alarms from pets, headlights or branches.
