Product Description
The HiLook THC-T240-M-R 4MP Turret Camera is a Turbo HD camera that sends its picture to a compatible DVR (digital video recorder, the box that stores your footage). It doesn't record on its own, so the recorder matters as much as the camera.
Three checks before you buy
1. Does it match your recorder? The output is switchable between TVI, AHD, CVI and CVBS, so you set it to the format your DVR takes. Make sure the DVR has a free channel for each camera and enough drive space for the footage you want to keep.
2. Which lens? The lens is fixed at 2.8 mm, 3.6 mm or 6 mm, depending on the variant supplied. A smaller number gives a wider view and a larger one a narrower, longer view, so choose before you order.
3. What will it see at night? EXIR 2.0 with Smart IR (infrared lighting) gives night vision up to 40 metres. You get colour by day and black-and-white infrared in darkness. The infrared LEDs draw more power at night, so a weak adapter or a long cable run can cause flickering or a black picture after dark.

How far can it see in the dark?
EXIR 2.0 with Smart IR gives night vision up to 40 metres. In darkness the image switches to black-and-white infrared.
Can I use it outdoors?
Yes. It has a metal housing with an IP66 weather-resistant rating and is made for indoor and outdoor use.
Why does the picture flicker at night?
