Product Description
This Hikvision turret camera gives you colour footage day and night, not just grainy black-and-white after dark. It does this via ColorVu: a wide F1.0 aperture plus built-in white LEDs that light the scene instead of switching to infrared monochrome.
Where it fits
A 2.8 mm fixed lens gives a wide 111.1° horizontal field of view, suited to entrances, driveways or shopfronts where you want context, not a narrow tunnel. Supplement lighting reaches up to 30 m, so check your throw distance matches the area you're covering before buying.
Smart features worth knowing
- Person and vehicle classification — deep-learning analytics filter out irrelevant motion (a cat, blowing leaves) so alerts are more meaningful.
- Active strobe light and audio alarm — the camera can flash and sound off automatically to deter an intruder, not just record them.
- Built-in two-way audio with a dual-microphone array, useful for challenging someone remotely or capturing site audio.
- IP67-rated, so it's built to handle rain and dust outdoors.
Storage and network
It records to NAS over NFS or SMB/CIFS (network-attached storage — a shared drive on your network) and supports Auto Network Replenishment, which backfills gaps if the network connection drops. It runs on 12 VDC or PoE (Power over Ethernet — one cable for power and data), and works with Hikvision's iVMS-4200, Hik-Connect and Hik-Central apps. Check your recorder or software supports ONVIF Profile S/G/T if you're mixing brands.

Frequently Asked Questions
Does this camera record in colour at night?
Yes — ColorVu uses a wide F1.0 aperture and built-in white light to keep footage in colour rather than switching to black-and-white infrared.
How far does the supplemental light reach?
Up to 30 m, so measure your area first to check it's within range.
Can it tell people apart from other movement?
It uses deep-learning classification to focus on person and vehicle detection, cutting down on false alerts from things like blowing leaves.
Does it need a separate recorder to store footage?
It records to network storage (NAS) over NFS or SMB/CIFS, so you'll need a compatible NAS or NVR on your network.
Is it powered over the network cable or a separate supply?
Both are supported — 12 VDC ±25% or PoE (Power over Ethernet).
