What's in the box
Here's what comes in the box and how many you get of each. Tap any part for the full spec.
12 cameras in the box. Keeps about 61 days of recording. Uses network cameras, so check the power equipment and cables listed below.
Recorder capacity
The 12 cameras in this kit take 12 of the recorder's 32 channels. That leaves 20 spare for adding cameras later. Before you add any, check the recorder supports their resolution and has the recording bandwidth for them, and that you've got power or PoE ports free.
Recording storage
It comes with 32TB of storage. That's about 61 days of footage when it records all the time in H.265. We work that out at 1 Mbps a camera for 2MP or less, 2 Mbps between 2MP and 5MP, and 4 Mbps for anything bigger — added up when the cameras are different models. What you'll really get depends on your settings, how busy the scene is and how much of the storage is usable — and if you only record on motion, it depends on how much movement there is.
Before installation
The box list shows which cables, power supplies and mounting bits come with it. Choose cable lengths and camera spots to suit your property — the number of cameras on its own doesn't tell you what they'll cover. At each spot, check how wide the lens sees, the lighting there and how well the camera's protected from the weather.
