Product Description
A junction box is simply a base that sits between the wall or ceiling and the camera, giving cables somewhere protected to terminate. The DS-1280ZJ-TR13-W is Hikvision's version, made for turret-style CCTV cameras.
What it does
It gives network and power cables a concealed space to be routed and connected, rather than leaving them exposed at the base of the camera. This keeps connectors out of the weather and off view, which matters most when a camera is fixed to concrete or masonry where cutting a cable channel isn't practical.
Build
- Material: aluminium alloy — corrosion-resistant and light enough for routine wall or ceiling fixing
- Size: approximately 110 mm diameter, 48 mm height — enough room inside for standard connectors and cable slack
- Finish: white, to match Hikvision turret camera housings
- Fitting: suitable for wall or ceiling mounting, indoor or outdoor
Compatibility — check this first
This box is built to suit selected Hikvision turret cameras, not every turret model on the market. At least one buyer found it didn't fit their cameras, so confirm against your exact camera model before ordering rather than assuming a match. It's also sold under the codes DS-1280ZJ-TR13 and GR-DS-1280ZJ-TR13-W-LN, which refer to the same product.
