A passive video balun lets you run CCTV signal over Cat5e or Cat6 network cable instead of coax — this one also carries power (PoC, Power over Coax) to compatible cameras over that same cable run.
What it does
It converts the coax-style video signal from an HD-TVI, AHD, CVI or CVBS camera onto twisted-pair cable, and back again at the DVR end. Because it's passive, it needs no external power itself — you fit one balun at the camera and one at the recorder, in a pair.

Before you buy
