Product Description
A straightforward 5m HDMI lead for getting a picture from your NVR or DVR onto a monitor or projector — the everyday job most CCTV owners actually need it for.
What it does
This is a Type A male-to-male HDMI cable, High Speed HDMI 1.4b certified, supporting 4K UHD (3840x2160@30Hz) and 1080p@60Hz over a 10.2Gbps connection. It carries ARC (audio return, for sending sound to a receiver) and CEC (lets connected devices share basic remote/power commands), plus an Ethernet channel and HDCP 1.4 content protection so recordings play back without protection errors.
Why 5m matters
Five metres is roughly the practical limit for a passive HDMI 1.4 cable — beyond that, picture or audio dropout becomes more likely unless you add an active booster. If your recorder and screen sit further apart in a rack or across a room, plan for an extender rather than a longer passive lead.
Built for equipment rooms
- 24-26AWG oxygen-free copper conductors with foil-plus-braid double shielding, aimed at resisting interference from nearby PSUs and Cat6 patch panels
- Nickel/gold-plated contacts for a stable connection
- PVC jacket, 7-8mm OD, moulded strain relief for repeated plugging/unplugging
- Flat or round profile so it routes tidily alongside power leads and network cabling
Backward compatible with HDMI 1.3 devices if you're connecting older equipment.

Frequently Asked Questions
Will this cable carry 4K from my NVR to a monitor?
Yes — it supports 4K UHD at 3840x2160@30Hz as well as 1080p@60Hz, over a 10.2Gbps High Speed HDMI 1.4b connection.
Is 5m too long to run without a booster?
Five metres is around the practical limit for a passive HDMI 1.4 cable, so if your recorder and display are further apart than that, you'll likely need an active extender.
Will it work near other rack cabling like PSUs and network patch panels?
It's built with double foil-and-braid shielding and is designed to resist interference from nearby CCTV power supplies and Cat6 patch panels.
Does it support audio return and older HDMI devices?
Yes — it includes ARC and CEC support, and is backward compatible with HDMI 1.3 equipment.
