The Dahua XVR5104HS-I3 is a 4-channel recorder that accepts HDCVI, AHD, TVI, CVBS and IP camera inputs on the same box. That matters if you're adding cameras to an existing analogue system rather than ripping it all out — one recorder handles both.
Recording and storage
Analogue channels record up to 4K; IP camera inputs are supported up to 8MP, so the recorder won't limit you if you upgrade cameras later. It takes 1 SATA HDD up to 10TB — buy the drive separately and pick capacity based on how many days of footage you need to keep. H.265+ and AI Coding compression keep file sizes down so that storage lasts longer.
