The Texecom P15-W Capture Series, Ricochet Wireless PIR Detector, 15m, Wall Mount, White is a motion detector for an intruder alarm. It is not a camera and doesn't record video. It sits on a wall and tells your alarm panel when it senses movement.
What the jargon means
- PIR stands for passive infrared: the detector picks up changes in heat as a person moves across its view.
- Dual element pyro is the type of heat sensor inside it.
- 15m / 90° volumetric means it covers a fan-shaped space up to 15 metres out, across a 90° spread.
- Ricochet is Texecom's wireless mesh technology, where devices can pass signals along via one another rather than all relying on one direct link. Texecom describes it as commercial grade wireless performance.
