Product Description
The Texecom AEA-0001 Veritas Impaq E Vibration Sensor detects forced entry through vibration, not motion — it's fitted to a door or window frame and triggers on the impact of an attempted break-in, before the frame itself gives way.
This is a wired detector, so it needs a cable run back to your alarm panel — check you have a spare zone and a route for the cable before ordering. It's built to EN50131-1 Grade 2 Class II, a European standard covering false-alarm resistance and reliability, which matters if you want your alarm taken seriously by a monitoring station.
Why installers pick it
- Adjustable sensitivity — set at installation to suit the frame material, so it isn't tripped by normal door slams or passing traffic
- Three LEDs (Detection, Disable, Comfort) let you see exactly what the sensor registered during testing, rather than guessing
- Engineer setup mode for tuning to the specific site
- Works on wall, corner or ceiling mounting, in white or brown to match most frames
Where it fits
Suited to protecting individual doors and windows in homes, offices, retail units or stores holding valuable stock. Rated for -10°C to +55°C and up to 95% humidity, so it's fine in an unheated hallway, porch, or lightly exposed frame. For fully outdoor use, check suitability with your installer or the manufacturer's datasheet.
Runs on 9–16V DC, drawing around 11mA standby and 10mA in alarm. It measures 87mm x 62mm x 26mm (HxWxD) and weighs 70g, so check that against your door or window frame before ordering.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is this a wired or wireless sensor?
It's a wired detector, so it needs a cable connection back to your alarm panel rather than running on batteries.
Will it go off from normal door slams or passing traffic?
Sensitivity is adjustable and set during engineer setup, which is how installers tune it to the frame and site to avoid nuisance triggers.
Can it be fitted outside, exposed to weather?
It's rated for -10°C to +55°C and up to 95% humidity, which suits porches or unheated spaces. For fully exposed outdoor use, check with your installer or the manufacturer's datasheet.
