Product Description
You stop noticing your own breath, which is why guessing rarely works. The Oral Odor Freshening Monitor, Portable Bad Oral Odor Detector, Smart Meter Device Focused on Cavity with Odor Checking, 32 bit Chip for Precise Bad Smell Detection (Black), SKU Odor-Detector, gives you a reading instead.
What it picks up
It senses volatile sulfur compounds (VSCs), the gases behind oral odour. A MEMS sensor (a tiny sensing component built like a chip) does the detecting, and a 32-bit CPU turns the signal into a result. The large LCD screen shows one of four levels, from Level 1 for fresh breath to Level 4 for very strong odour.
Taking a reading
- Hold the single button for 3 seconds to switch on.
- Wait through the 9-second preheat until it vibrates and the blue light comes on.
- Inhale, then breathe out towards the sensor for 3-5 seconds, with it held 1 cm from your mouth.
- Read the level on screen.
Worth knowing first
- The rechargeable battery supports up to 30 days of use.
- The cartridge is concealed and non-invasive, so nothing goes in your mouth.
- Test no sooner than 30 minutes after rinsing with mouthwash, drinking alcohol or using other substances.
- Avoid measuring odours that come straight from food. The reading is for oral odour, so test when you haven't just eaten.
It comes in black and works from a single button, so there is no menu to learn.

Frequently Asked Questions
How long before I can take a reading?
Press the button for 3 seconds, then allow the 9-second preheat. A vibration and a blue light show it is ready.
How far from the sensor should I exhale?
Keep the sensor 1 cm from your mouth. After inhaling, breathe out towards it for 3-5 seconds.
What do the four levels mean?
Level 1 is fresh breath and Level 4 is very strong odour. The result appears on the LCD screen.
When should I avoid testing?
Leave a gap of 30 minutes or more after mouthwash, alcohol or other substances. Don't measure odours that come directly from food either.
