Product Description
30mm x 3mm N52 Neodymium Disc Magnets (SKU MAGNET-DISC-30MMX3MM) are flat, round rare earth magnets supplied as a set. They are N52 grade, a high grade of neodymium, so even a thin disc holds firmly. The product is aimed at industrial and precision applications.
Three checks before you order
- The surface. Neodymium magnets grip ferrous metals such as steel and iron. They won't hold to aluminium, plastic or wood, so test a fridge magnet on the spot first. If it sticks, a neodymium disc will too, and much harder.
- The space. Each disc is 30mm across and 3mm thick. That is a wide, shallow shape, which suits a narrow gap better than a chunky block would.
- The fixing. Decide how each disc will be held in place, for example in a recess or with a suitable adhesive, before the magnets arrive. A strong magnet is awkward to reposition once it has snapped onto metal.
Handling and storage
Rare earth magnets are brittle. Two discs let go of each other badly: they can chip, or pinch skin as they snap together. Slide them apart sideways instead of pulling straight off, and keep a spacer between discs in storage.
Keep them well away from pacemakers, bank cards and sensitive electronics. Wear gloves and eye protection if you are drilling, cutting or forcing anything near them.

Frequently Asked Questions
Will these magnets stick to aluminium?
No. Neodymium magnets hold to ferrous metals such as steel and iron, not to aluminium, plastic or wood.
How big is each disc?
Each disc is 30mm across and 3mm thick, in N52 grade.
How do I separate two discs that have stuck together?
Slide them apart sideways rather than pulling straight off, and keep your fingers clear of the gap as they come free.
