Product Description
The 10x3mm N52 Neodymium Disc Magnets (SKU MAGNET-DISC-10MMX3MM) are small, round rare earth magnets for crafting and industrial use. Each disc is 10mm across and 3mm thick, so about a centimetre wide and slim enough for a shallow pocket.
"Rare earth" means the magnet is made from a neodymium alloy, which gives a strong pull for its size. N52 is the grade of that material; a higher number after the N means a stronger grade.
Check before you buy
- Size. 10mm diameter, 3mm thickness. Measure the space you have, or the recess you plan to cut, against both figures.
- What it grips. A magnet pulls onto iron, steel or another magnet. Aluminium, plastic and wood give it nothing to hold.
- How it will be fixed. On a non-magnetic surface you need adhesive or a recess. Decide this first, because a disc this strong is awkward to shift once it has snapped onto metal.
- Safe handling. Neodymium is brittle and can chip if two discs slam together, so keep fingers out of the gap. Keep them away from pacemakers and bank cards.
