Product Description
Hikvision DS-3E0326P-E/M(B) — 24-Port PoE Switch
This is the box that powers and networks your cameras from one place. It's an unmanaged Layer-2 switch, meaning there's no software to configure — you plug cameras into the PoE ports and it works.
What it actually does
It has 24 × 10/100 Mbps PoE ports, so each one can send both data and power down a single cable to an IP camera or wireless access point — no separate power supply needed at the camera end. PoE follows the IEEE 802.3af and 802.3at standards, with up to 30 W per port and a total PoE budget of around 230 W shared across all 24 ports. Before loading it up, add up your cameras' power draw so you stay under that 230 W ceiling.
For getting footage back to your NVR, there's one Gigabit RJ45 uplink and one Gigabit SFP fibre uplink — copper or fibre, your choice, without using up a camera port.
Cable runs and fitting
Standard PoE tops out around 100 m, but this switch's Extend mode stretches PoE transmission up to 300 metres, handy if a camera sits a long way from the cabinet — a car park entrance or a distant outbuilding, for example.
The metal enclosure fits a rack, a desktop, or a wall bracket, so it slots into most cabinet or plant-room setups.

Frequently Asked Questions
How many cameras can this switch power?
It depends on each camera's power draw, but the total PoE budget is around 230 W across all 24 ports, so add up your cameras' wattage before planning a full load.
Do I need to configure anything before using it?
No — it's an unmanaged switch, so it works on plug-and-play basis without any setup menus or software.
Can cameras be a long way from the switch?
Yes, its Extend mode supports PoE transmission up to 300 metres, useful for cameras positioned well away from the equipment rack.
Can I connect it to an NVR over fibre?
Yes, it has a Gigabit SFP fibre uplink port alongside a Gigabit RJ45 uplink, so you can backhaul over copper or fibre.
