Product Description
A female-to-female RJ45 coupler lets you join two terminated Ethernet leads end to end, so a cable run that's a metre or two short can be extended without re-terminating either end.
Both sides use standard 8P8C female connectors, which is the technical name for a normal RJ45 port — so it works with Cat5e and Cat6 patch leads without needing to match cable grade on each side. It supports Fast Ethernet and Gigabit Ethernet, which covers the network speeds used by most IP cameras, NVRs and switches.
Where it's used
- Extending an IP camera or NVR connection where the existing lead falls short
- Joining leads through a patch panel, wall outlet or network cabinet
- Inline use inside junction boxes or cable management, thanks to the compact housing
What to check before buying
One coupler joins exactly two leads — for longer extensions you'll need cable runs of the correct Cat5e/Cat6 grade either side. It doesn't boost or repeat the signal; it's a physical join, so total cable length still needs to stay within normal Ethernet limits for your network gear.
This is a straightforward, no-nonsense way to avoid re-terminating a cable when a CCTV or network run needs lengthening on site.

Frequently Asked Questions
Will this coupler work with both Cat5e and Cat6 cable?
Yes — both ports are standard 8P8C female connectors, so it accepts Cat5e and Cat6 terminated leads on either side.
Does it support Gigabit speeds for IP cameras and NVRs?
Yes, it supports Fast Ethernet and Gigabit Ethernet, which covers typical IP camera, NVR and switch connections.
Can I use it to join more than two cable runs?
No — it's designed to join exactly two RJ45-terminated leads inline, not to split or repeat a signal.
Where can this coupler be fitted?
It has a compact inline housing suited to patch panels, network cabinets, wall outlets and junction boxes.
