Product Description
What this cable is for
This is a full 305-metre box of outdoor-rated Cat5e cable — the bulk network cable installers use to run IP CCTV cameras, NVRs and access control links between buildings or from cameras back to a switch.
It's 4-pair, 24AWG solid copper UTP (unshielded twisted pair), built to exceed the ANSI/TIA Enhanced Cat5e standard, so it supports Gigabit Ethernet (10/100/1000Base-T) across all four pairs — plenty for PoE IP cameras, HDBaseT extenders or VoIP.
Why "external grade" matters
The black LDPE/PE sheath resists UV and moisture, which is what lets you run it exposed on a wall, in a duct, or slung between buildings on a catenary wire — a standard indoor Cat5e cable will degrade outdoors over time. It carries a CPR Fca Euroclass fire rating, suitable for external non-riser routes (not for internal riser/plenum use).
Practical points before you buy
- The box has sequential metre marking printed on the sheath, so you can measure exact run lengths as you pull the cable and check what's left.
- Terminate with standard Cat5e RJ45 plugs, patch panels or keystone modules — no special tooling required.
- As solid-core cable, it's meant for fixed installation runs rather than repeated flexing or patch-cable use.
Check your run length and termination hardware before ordering, since this is sold as one continuous 305m box.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is this Cat5e cable suitable for outdoor use?
Yes — it has a black LDPE/PE sheath that resists UV and moisture, rated for catenary, duct and façade installations.
Will it support PoE IP cameras and Gigabit Ethernet?
Yes, it's 4-pair 24AWG solid copper supporting 10/100/1000Base-T Gigabit Ethernet over all four pairs, which covers standard PoE IP camera setups.
What connectors or hardware do I need to terminate it?
Standard Cat5e RJ45 crimp tools, patch panels or keystone modules — no special termination equipment is required.
Can I use this cable inside a building's riser or plenum spaces?
No — it carries a CPR Fca Euroclass rating intended for external non-riser applications, not internal riser or plenum routes.
