Product Description
The ACM-A60W-EM is a wall-mounted door entry reader that unlocks with either a PIN typed on its touch keypad or an EM 125 kHz proximity card held to the reader.
What it actually does
It reads two credential types — a numeric PIN or an EM 125 kHz RFID card — and passes an unlock signal via a Wiegand interface to your access control panel. Wiegand is the standard wiring protocol most door controllers use, so this is a component that plugs into an existing system rather than a standalone lock.
Where it fits
The housing is described as waterproof, so it's rated for outdoor mounting — front doors, gates, or any external access point exposed to weather. The backlit keypad stays readable after dark, useful for entrances without good lighting. A built-in doorbell button means one unit can cover both entry control and visitor notification, saving a second fitting on the wall.
Before you buy
Check your existing access control panel or lock controller accepts Wiegand input, and that any cards you already issue are EM 125 kHz format — this reader won't read other RFID standards. It's supplied as a reader only; wiring it to strikes, maglocks or exit buttons is done through your controller.
