It lets two nearby IP cameras share a single cable run back to your PoE switch, instead of pulling two separate lengths of cable. This cuts down on cable runs when cameras sit close together, such as either side of a corner.
How the set works
The kit is two units — a sender and a receiver:
- The sender plugs into 2 free ports on your PoE network switch.
- One cable then runs from the sender out to wherever your cameras are.
- The receiver takes that single cable and splits it into 2 short cables, one to each camera.
