What this does

The DRB044S-PTE is a wall-mounted push button that tells your access control system to release the door, so people inside can leave a secured area without a key or fob.

Press the green dome and it sends a release signal to whatever is holding the door — an electric strike, a magnetic lock or a door controller. It's an exit-side accessory, not a lock or controller itself, so it needs one of those already fitted to actually open the door.
