Product Description
The ANNKE DT81DP is a hybrid DVR that lets you run 8 analog cameras and 4 IP cameras from one box, so you don't need a separate NVR when adding network cameras to an existing analog system.
What it actually does
It accepts analog signals in TVI, AHD, CVI or CVBS format on its 8 BNC inputs, at up to 8MP (4K) per channel. The 4 IP channels take network cameras up to 6MP each. This mix means you can keep cameras already installed and add newer ones without swapping everything out.
Before you buy, check
- Storage: one SATA interface, taking a single hard drive (1TB or more) — the drive isn't included, so factor that into your setup.
- Outputs: HDMI and VGA, both up to 4K, for local monitoring.
- Network: one 10/100 Mbps Ethernet port, plus USB 2.0 and USB 3.0 for backup or peripherals.
- Compression: H.265+, H.265, H.264+ and H.264, which keeps file sizes down over long recording periods.
Extra features worth knowing
Smart detection distinguishes people and vehicles from other movement, cutting false alerts. Remote access via app or browser lets you check footage away from the property. Audio input and output support two-way listening. It runs on 12V DC and is rated for operation from around -10°C to +55°C, so an unheated garage or outbuilding is fine.
Good fit for a home or small business upgrading an analog setup gradually, rather than replacing every camera at once.
