Product Description
The Klaxon SLM-0001 Master Blaster is a 230V mains-powered, motor-driven siren rated up to 127 dB at 1m — loud enough to cut through machinery noise or carry across a large industrial site.
Unlike small self-contained bell boxes, this is a supplementary sounder: it's triggered by your existing intruder alarm panel via a 12V DC relay, not run as a standalone system. If you're speccing it, confirm your panel has a spare relay output rated to drive it.
Where it fits
- Warehouses and factories — high ambient noise means a standard sounder can get lost; 127 dB is built to carry.
- Plant rooms and continuously-manned industrial sites — the siren is continuously rated for demanding, always-on use.
- Indoor or outdoor mounting — the -30°C to +45°C operating range covers unheated stores, yards, and exposed external walls alike.
Installation notes
- Supplied with a surface mounting bracket for positioning on a wall or structure.
- Pre-wired with a 1m cable, simplifying the first-fix connection into your alarm wiring.
- Runs from 230V AC mains — this needs a proper mains connection, not a battery or low-voltage feed, so plan the electrical supply before installation day.
This is a sounder only, not a complete alarm kit — it's designed to be wired into an existing intruder alarm control panel rather than installed as a standalone unit.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can this siren run on its own without an alarm panel?
No — it's activated via a 12V DC trigger relay, so it needs an existing intruder alarm control panel or compatible signalling system to switch it on.
Is it suitable for outdoor use?
Yes, it's rated for internal or external mounting with an operating range of -30°C to +45°C.
What power supply does it need?
It runs from a 230V AC mains supply, so a proper mains connection is required rather than a low-voltage feed.
Does it come with a mounting bracket and cable?
Yes, a surface mounting bracket is supplied along with a pre-wired 1m cable for connection.
