Product Description
The WAGO-221-423-1x (WAGO 221-423) is a 3-port lever connector for joining or terminating cables without a screwdriver or crimping tool.
You open a lever, push the stripped conductor in (11mm strip length), close the lever, and the connection is made. It's a "universal" terminal block, meaning it accepts solid, stranded and fine-strand conductors from 0.2mm² up to 4mm² in the same port.
Key specs
- Ports: 3, each rated 450V / 32A
- Conductor range: 0.2–4mm² (covers most lighting, socket and control-circuit cable)
- Strip length: 11mm — get this wrong and the connection can be unreliable
- Operating temperature: up to 85°C
- Housing: transparent PC/PBT, described by the manufacturer as an "eco-housing" — 77% bio-circular PC and 27% recycled PBT
Where it's used
Typical jobs are joining lighting cables in a junction box, extending a run, or terminating multiple conductors at one point — anywhere you'd otherwise use a traditional screw terminal block. The transparent housing lets you see at a glance that the copper is fully inserted and seated, which is useful when checking a job before closing up a box.
Before you buy
Check the conductor sizes you're working with fall inside the 0.2–4mm² range, and that 32A per port is adequate for the circuit. This listing is for the 3-port version — if you need more ways, look for the equivalent connector with additional ports.

Do I need a tool to use it?
No — it's a lever connector. You open the lever, insert the stripped conductor to 11mm, and close the lever by hand.
How much current can each port carry?
Each of the three ports is rated at 450V/32A.
What is the housing made from?
A transparent PC/PBT housing described by the manufacturer as 77% bio-circular PC and 27% recycled PBT.
