Product Description
This is a manual routing cable, not a signal duplicator: it takes one HDMI source and lets you switch it between two displays, with only one output live at a time.
What it actually does
The 2-Way HDMI Splitter Cable takes a single HDMI male input and feeds it to two HDMI female outputs. You choose which output is active — it does not mirror the picture to both screens at once.
Where it fits in a CCTV setup
Useful where one HDMI source needs to reach either of two possible screens — for example, a DVR output that you sometimes send to a local monitor and sometimes to a second display elsewhere, switched manually rather than shown on both.
It also works with general AV gear: HDTVs, PS3, LED TVs, DVD players and most LCD projectors.

- Max resolution: 1080p

Before you buy
Check your source isn't HDCP-protected — some DVRs and streaming devices are, and this splitter won't pass their signal through. If you need both screens showing the same feed simultaneously, this isn't the right tool; it's a switch, not a distribution amp.
