Face shields, earmuffs and headsets all need something to sit on. The 3M™ Headgear G500 – Face & Hearing Protection (SKU 3M-G500-HEADGEAR-COMBINATION) is that base: a headgear you can wear for face protection alone, or build up into a combined face and hearing set.
How it goes together
3M designed it to combine with other 3M™ Safety Products:
- face shields
- passive earmuffs (ear defenders with no electronics)
- communication headsets
- integrated eyewear
Its protection covers frontal and side impacts, so blows coming from ahead or from either side are accounted for. The design also aims for maximum visibility and wearer comfort, which matters if it's worn for long stretches.
Before you order
The headgear is one part of the setup. The shield, earmuffs or headset are separate 3M products, so decide what the wearer needs first:
- Face protection only: headgear plus a face shield.
