Product Description
Pastic Cable Ties 7x300mm Black are the biggest ties in the Pastic range: 7mm wide and 300mm (30cm) long, made from nylon. SKU: Cable-Ties-7x300mm-Black.
When this size makes sense
Most home CCTV jobs involve a few thin camera leads, and a smaller tie from the range will cope with those. This one is for the other end of the scale, where a narrow tie would be the weak point in the bundle:
- Heavy bundles of cable gathered into one run
- Cable tray and basket work. Tray is an open shelf that carries cables along a wall or ceiling, and basket is the same idea in wire mesh
- Thick multi-core cable. Multi-core means several separate wires inside one outer sheath
- Commercial installations where cable runs are larger than in a typical house
Before you buy
Wrap a tape measure around the finished bundle, not the loose cables. The tie has to go all the way round and still leave you enough tail to pull through the head, and 300mm is the longest length in the range. If your bundle is much smaller, you'll have a lot of spare tail to trim, so a shorter tie may suit better.
Mixed jobs are easy to split: this size for the thick trunk runs, smaller ties for the individual cable drops.
