Product Description
A front desk, a members' club or a school office usually wants badges made on the spot, not ordered in from an outside supplier. That is the job of the Evolis Zenius Classic ID Card Printer (SKU EVOLIS-ZENIUS), a compact desktop machine that prints onto plastic cards.
What it does
- Prints one side of the card only (single-sided)
- Full colour or monochrome, meaning a single colour
- Up to 150 colour cards per hour
- Takes standard CR80 PVC cards, the same size as a bank card
- Suited to up to approximately 5,000 cards per year
Where it fits
It is built for low to medium volume: new starters, visitor badges, membership cards and access cards in offices, schools and small businesses. It is not meant to act as a card bureau. The footprint is small enough for an office desk or a reception counter.
Check before you order
- The reverse of the card. Nothing gets printed on the back, so use pre-printed stock or leave it blank. Should your layout call for printing on both sides, a single-sided machine won't do the job.
- Your blank cards. You need CR80 PVC cards to print on.
- Access control. If the cards will be used on a door or entry system, check which card type that system expects before you buy blanks.
- Your volume. If you issue far more than 5,000 cards a year, look at something heavier-duty.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can I print on the back of the cards?
No. The Evolis Zenius Classic prints one side only, so the reverse stays blank or uses pre-printed stock.
Does it print in colour only?
No. It prints in full colour or in monochrome, which means a single colour.
What card type does it take?
Standard CR80 PVC cards, the size commonly used for employee ID, visitor badges, membership cards and access cards.
Is it suitable for a large site issuing cards all day?
It is designed for low to medium volume, up to approximately 5,000 cards per year, so it suits smaller organisations better than very heavy issuing.
