The DynaScan DS491LT4 is a 49 inch high-brightness display built for digital signage in bright or direct-sunlight locations, such as storefront windows and transport hubs.

What it actually does

It runs at Full HD 1920 × 1080 and pushes brightness up to 3500 cd/m², which is what lets the picture stay readable in strong daylight rather than washing out. A built-in ambient light sensor automatically adjusts brightness as conditions change, so you're not manually tweaking settings through the day, and it helps cut power use when it's dimmer.

Content without a separate box

There's an integrated Android media player, so you can run content directly on the screen without plugging in an external device. It also supports DSM365 scheduling software, useful if you're managing several screens as one signage network rather than one-off displays.

Video walls

The bezel is around 8.5 mm, narrow enough that multiple units can be tiled together, and the display supports daisy-chained video wall setups up to 15 × 15 screens — relevant if you're planning a large-format installation rather than a single panel.

Running cost and noise

Cooling is fanless, so there's no fan noise and one less moving part to maintain over time — a practical point for screens left running continuously in public spaces.
