Product Description
This shelf gives you a flat, ventilated surface to sit an NVR, router or modem inside a 19-inch cabinet, for gear that has no rack ears of its own.
It's a 1U shelf (1U = 44.45mm of rack height) with a depth of approximately 300mm — check that against your cabinet's internal depth before ordering, since deeper NVRs may overhang. Fixing is via front mounting brackets, so it works in both wall-mounted and floor-standing 19-inch cabinets without needing rear rail support.
Why it's built this way
- Steel construction with black powder-coated finish — gives the shelf enough strength to carry an NVR or switch and resists corrosion in cabinet environments.
- Ventilated (slotted) surface — lets warm air rise past the shelf rather than pooling under equipment, which matters if the cabinet also houses a switch or NVR generating heat.
- Cantilever, front-mount design — simpler installation than a full slide-out tray, at the cost of some rear support for very heavy kit.
Where it fits
Useful in CCTV equipment racks, telecoms cabinets and general data cabinets wherever you need a mounting surface for equipment that wasn't designed for rack ears — typical examples are NVRs, small switches, modems and routers.
This is a mounting accessory only — it doesn't include the equipment placed on it, and we're not able to confirm fit against every cabinet model, so check your cabinet's internal depth and load rating first.

Frequently Asked Questions
Will this fit any 19-inch cabinet?
It's designed to be compatible with standard 19-inch rack cabinets, but check your cabinet's internal depth against the shelf's approximate 300mm depth before buying.
Can I mount an NVR directly on this shelf?
Yes — it's intended as a mounting surface for non-rack equipment such as NVRs, routers, modems and small switches that lack their own rack brackets.
Does it help with heat inside the cabinet?
The shelf surface has ventilation slots to allow airflow and reduce heat buildup around equipment placed on it, which supports more stable operation of active devices.
How is it fitted into the rack?
It uses front mounting brackets that attach to the rack rails, making it suitable for both wall-mounted and floor-standing cabinets.
